from the mouth of babes

a week later i make it back. this week will be long!  first off the kids! we were playing duck,duck, goose this morning in the gym and had an interesting experience! anyone who is familiar with this game knows the child picks a "goose" and that person chases the picker. well we figured wed teach the kids the game this morning. so D went around to be the first picker and set the example. she picks one of our older 2yr old to be the goose and chase upon doing so all of the kids get up and chase her around the gym of course I'm laughing so hard i couldn't holler at them and the entire game of duck,duck, goose proceeded to be played in this fashion! then later we were back in the room getting ready for lunch and d slipped her shoes off under the table and jokingly told the kids that her feet stink. one of our kids who don't usually listen turned and told d to  go take a shower! those kids are a mess. we also let the kids paint pumpkins alst week that was an adventure in its self.
last wednesday my neighbor had her baby. a handsome little guy named "larry" absolutely beautiful baby.

of course me being the picture person i am took a few pictures and im gonna wait a few weeks before ill do a full shoot with him :) i cant wait to take the pictures i want! he's so precious :) but now i gotta do soem research before heading back to work have a grand day guys!

what a weekend!

i hope everyone had a grand weekend! mine was busy and well, interesting to say the least! i did not win the photo show Friday night. as a matter of fact i didn't even get close! broke my heart but kind of made me mad too. the lady who won had 2/6 honorable mentions 3rd prize and 1prize. i honestly think that you should only be allowed ! prize. its not fair to the ones who tried. but life isn't fair is it? i had 12 people(friends&family) show up to support me. my dads parents mom mom and pop pop. my aunt Moe and her fiance. my cousin and her husband.  my great aunt Jo. my old youth leader, the lady i work with and her eldest son, my friends sis and friends 8yr old :) now while i am disappointed that i did not win i did learn alot and hope to possibly place next year. ill prob start taking pics for it as soon as possible!
Saturday i woke up at the crack of dawn and went down to the farmers market to get pumpkins. then my younger neighbors and i carved pumpkins! that was a fun event! we made a mess but my young neighbors and myself greatly enjoyed ourselves. they're 8,9, and 10. and all three are a heap of fun to have around.

as you can see i added a pic of our pumpkins. i took these with my phone for this great reason! my camera died Saturday night. I'm yet to figure out what happened. and no guys it wasn't the battery. i had just put brand new batteries in it. i pressed the button to turn on and it'd flash on then shut itself off.  made me so mad! so Sunday i went to my friends house about half an hour away from where i live. which is usually nice except his girlfriend is extremely stuck up and doesn't approve of our sense of humor :/ which is sad cause we really are pretty funny. nor does she approve of his music. and while his music isn't something i usually listen to it does make me smile and i enjoy it sometimes!  so she went out for a while and S and i worked on downloading the pics that were on my camera( i really didn't wanna lose them!)  then he reloaded my mp3 because  i do not have a home computer to do these things on!  of course my mp3 player is now loaded with all kinds of his music so i guess ill be listening to more of his music lol. he really is a cutie but gah forbid he or she knows i feel that way! but anyway... he has an older digital that takes discs instead of memory cards so hes loaned that to me until i can get a better new camera. if anyone knows where i can get a disc for the camera please let me know! I've been told that i cant them at walmart but im gonna look there tonight and make sure! but thats all for today i want to spend a few minutes playing a game and relaxing before i go back to work! please comment and let me know what you think!

did you really just say that to me?

oh my goodness it's almost Friday!!! it's about flipping time too!
first off my first photo show is tomorrow night! I'm so excited so obviously i invited everyone- including my wonderful loving drug addicted mother. so i called my mother Tuesday to see if she was going to attend (i would like to know who is going to show up). my mother rudely informed me that shes not coming and neither are my siblings because its a waste of their time?!?! seriously its a waste of time to go to her OLDEST daughters FIRST photo show. THANKS MOM! i absolutely died and immediately called my father and aunt to inform them what she said. i love that I'm so very important to her and my siblings. did i mention that my sister E got married last November? shes 20, was 19 when they got married. he's in his mid 30s. i have strived for 21 years to be the good daughter and stay out of trouble to save mom time and trouble. i mean she was basically a single mom all the men she married were good for nothing. i basically raised my younger siblings. i buy most of my baby sisters school supplies cause mom cant afford them! and my photo show is a waste of time, OK!  last time i was at my mothers she and my 13yr old sister, M, (the baby of the fam) called me a B**ch to my face.i haven't been there since.
secondly work! the kids are absolutely wild this week(weather change?) yesterday while it was warm the lady i work with (D) was outside with some of the kids while i changed another child. now i will mention we have several outside play areas at our facility. we have the one year old playground, a two year old playground, then a three and four year old playground. to top that off we have a grassy area that is open all day to 2s, 3s, and 4s. our group was in the grassy area at the moment. now we have 11 children in our class and as i was saying D had some kids outside and i had a few inside doing pottying and diapers. after we all came inside again D told me that one of our kids (child #1 we will call him) had an interesting choice of words to say when he dropped a toy on his foot. keep in mind these are 2 1/2 year old. his choice word of the moment(pardon my words) was damn-it damn-it damn-it. these are no words any 2yr old should know let along be using! so D asked him, "child #1, who taught you that word?".... from him" oh mommy did" mommy taught him that!!!!! mommy? seriously? remember everything you say your 2yr old can and will repeat!
we also had a discussion about Halloween costumes yesterday cause you know that is pretty exciting! girl #1 told us mommy is making her snow white boy #2 will be a ghost. so i ask girl #1 what i should be for Halloween "oh, that's easy miss angel, a horse!" me a horse? lol but of course D and i have to dress up for Halloween at the center so we're going costume shopping Saturday. i just hope she remains sane and agrees to something reasonable.....like, m&ms!!!! thatd rock! i wanna be a green m&m :)

now more on my photo show! i am so so so nervous about this. it's technically  a contest and the showing is just a bonus to it! everyone swears I'm going to win but I'm not so sure about it. this is my first photo show! I've never done this before some of the people in this contest have done things like this before.you know? no guarantees that i will win!

first ever blog

OK guys here it is, the first blog!!!  I've done this before unless you count my old journals...which i don't! i guess i can start with telling you some about me. I'm 21, I've been on my own for almost 2yrs. been out of my parents house 3yrs! i work full time in daycare and ill have plenty to say of the kids but i will not mention their names! i teach 2 1/2 year olds! they keep me busy right now we're in the middle of potty training.   lol. i work with one other lady she's sweet and so far we get along great.
 my parents are not together never really were. i have several step dads but i doubt they will be mentioned often. my biological father is one of my best friends!(along with his two sisters) my paternal grandfathers live in the same town as me along with one of my aunts and my mother. father is in Maryland so when i start complaining about wanting to see him you'll understand. i have 2 brothers and 2sisters they're all half siblings. i will refer to them as E, T, K, & M.  i do not get along with my mother or siblings though.
at the moment I'm single and while its nice sometimes i do get annoyingly lonely! i talk to several of my exes and I'm sure they'll be mentioned! i do date though so yeah
i figure most of my blogs will just be whatever is on my  mind at the moment. i am a photographer so that gets fun sometimes!
